Fine large Victorian inlaid walnut tea caddy chest.

A superb quality late Victorian tea caddy or chest, the wonderfully figured walnut veneers inlaid to the top in various exotic woods standing on turned bun feet.

The chest opens to reveal the original fitted walnut interior comprising two inset glass bowls and two lidded central sections all of which is lined in blue tissue paper.

The box is in superb condition having been cleaned and professionally French polished.

A rare find, we have only seen one other comparable example.
