Superb Regency parquetry inlaid jewellery box.

A stunning early 19th century ebony box, the top and all four sides profusely inlaid with different parquetry panels in a variety of specimen woods. Possibly made as a tradesmans sample if you look closely there is no symmetry to the panels - the left and right sides are completely different and sections on the top where you would expect it are in fact all different. Even the central circle is different all around.

The interior is original with a mahogany tray.

An extremely rare and fine quality box for the collector in superb condition.
