Extra large Georgian mahogany table box,

A superb Georgian mahogany table or document box of extra large proportions, the corners with campaign style brass banding, the top with central decorative vacant brass cartouche, the front with brass keyhole escutcheon.

The box has been re-lined in a plush petrol blue velvet, the original stop hinges in good order. The box comes with working lock & tasselled key, however the lock keep is slightly out (probably needs a sliver of card underneath) but the steel screws are very stiff and we decided against forcing them so the box currently doesn't lock.
