A Victorian coromandel jewellery box, the simple design producing one of the most elegant boxes we have handled for some time. The top and front with two graduated brass lines to enhance the coromandel veneers. the top with a rectangular brass cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box has been re-lined in a plush stone grey velvet in keeping with the coromandel exterior but adding a modern feel. The lift out tray reveals a further area beneath. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer, similarly lined.
