Superb Victorian coromandel jewellery box by Parkins & Gotto.

A wonderful Victorian coromandel jewellery box by Parkins & Gotto, Oxford Street, London. The domed top and edges banded in brass with further brass lines to highlight the shape. The top has a vacant brass engraved cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box opens to reveal the original fitted interior, re-lined in a plush stone grey velvet which compliments the coromandel but also gives the box a modern feel.

To the rear of the box a button releases the front drawer and to the left another releases the side drawer.

Tassled key included but sadly the lock no longer functions giving the opportunity to purchase a superb example at a far lower price than would normally be expected.
