A superb Victorian jewellery casket by Farthing & Thornhill, 42 Cornhill, London. The edges banded in brass, to the domed top is a vacant central brass cartouche.

The box has been re-lined in a luxurious dark blue silk velvet, the lid retains it's original silk moire.

Tassled key included but for display only. Does not work the lock.
