A quality large early 19th century campaign style writing slope, the mahogany banded throughout in brass. To the left is a pull-out drawer secured by a brass pin inside the slope and to the right a dummy drawer handle. The central brass cartouche is vacant.

The box opens to reveal the sloped writing surface still covered in the original baize, beneath which are two storage areas, one with secret drawers released by a brass pin when the lock is in the locked position.

In good clean untouched condition with usual age related marks.

With working lock & tassled key.
