Attractive late Victorian walnut jewellery box, the top with canted corners veneered in ebony and inlaid with pewter stringing. The top has a vacant brass cartouche surrounded by further ebony and pewter, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box opens to reveal the original mahogany interior, re-lined in a red velvet, the lift-out tray revealing a further storage area beneath.

With working lock & tassled key.
