Exceptional large Regency mahogany & brass inlaid table box.

An exceptional large Regency period box veneered in the finest Cuban mahogany, the edges banded in brass and the front and sides inlaid with superb brass decoration. The top has a vacant central cartouche and the front a matching keyhole escutcheon.

To the sides there are two flush fitting brass carry handles. The fantastic mahogany veneers are carried on throughout the box including the back.

The interior has been re-lined in a burgundy cotton grosgrain fabric and complimentary shiraz silk velvet.

With working lock & original tassled key.

A truly stunning box the quality of which is not found very often.
