Large tunbridge ware walnut jewellery box.

A good late Victorian walnut dome-topped jewellery box, the centre inset with a tunbridge ware panel depicting s castle. The box is the same format as found in many trinity house boxes but obviously no naval inlays on this one. 

Superb quality walnut throughout and the front, back and sides with inset marquetry stringing.

The box retains its original interior and lift-out tray with three walnut covers, the lid lined in deep green velvet with gilt decoration.
