A fine quality coromandel sewing box by Lunf of Fleet Street, London. The finely chosen veneers complimented by the twin stringing lines to the edges, the top with a central rectangular mother of pearl vacant cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon.

The box opens to reveal the original blue silk interior in remarkable condition, the top with smocked silk drop-down cover revealing a document storage wallet behind. 

The lift-out tray is fitted with various compartments, still retaining all of the original covers. There is a further storage area beneath. With a couple of minor losses to the silk but almost entirely intact.

The box has a brass plaque to the reat bearing the makers details and the lock is also stamped Lund.

With what appears to be the original key but sadly does not turn.
