A fine quality Victorian coromandel jewellery box by S. Mordan & Co., the edges banded in bras  with a further fine brass line inlay to the top and front. The top has a circular vacant brass cartouche.

The original interior in Moroccan leather has been re-lined in a luxury blue silk velvet to match the original finish. The lift-out tray reveals a further storage area beneath. To the side of the box a brass button releases the side drawer similarly line in blue silk velvet.

With working patent lock and tassled key stamped S. Mordan & Co. Makers.
