Superb large George III Sheraton satinwood inlaid box.

A stunning and rare Georgian extra large box veneered in the finest satinwood, corssbanded in Cuban mahogany and banded in boxwood. The top has a central oval cartouche in flame mahogany and inlaid marquetry quadrant fans to the corners. 

With original quality brass carry handles to the sides.

The box has been re-lined in a plush blue velvet making it ideal for storage of documents, laptops or anything else modern you may want to lose when not in use.

With a couple of small old repairs which just add to the character of a box approaching 250 years old.

Unfortunately the locks no longer work but the box is supplied with the tassled key for display purposes.
