Large Victorian walnut & coromandel jewellery box.

A good Victorian figured walnut & coromandel jewellery box, the top and front veneered in burr walnut with coromandel banding seperated by a brass line, the back and sides veneered in figured walnut, the whole with brass edging.

The original mahogany interior has been re-lined in a luxurious deep blue silk velvet, the lift-out tray revealing a further storage area beneath. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer which has also been re-lined in silk velvet.
