A superb quality Victorian burr walnut jewellery box by Valentine of Dundee, veneered in the finest quality walnut, the edges banded in brass. The top has a central brass cartouche.

The box opens to reveal a fully fitted coromandel interior re-lined in a plush deep red silk velvet, the top fitted with various storage compartments. The fall front drops to reveal two drawers, the top with original gilt brass finished recessed handle, the lower opening by depressing a button at the rear of the box. Both drawers have also been re-lined in silk velvet. 

With fully working Bramah lock & tassled key.
