Antique rosewood jewellery box by Parkins & Gotto.

A good antique rosewood jewellery box by Parkins & Gotto of Oxford Street, London. The lid with inlaid shield shaped mother of pearl cartouche, the front with matching key escutcheon.

The lid opens to reveal a mahogany, leather and red velvet lined interior, the lift-out tray revealing a further storage area beneath. To the rear of the box a button opens the front drawer, similarly lined in red velvet.

Inside the lid a concealed button releases the reversible mirror and reveals a stationery storage pouch.

With fully working lock & key.
