Antique coromandel jewellery box by Turrill.

A good antique coromandel jewellery box by I. Turrill of New Bond Street, London. With brass banding and line inlay, the lid with rectangular brass cartouche and the sides with flush fitting handles.

The box opens to reveal an original black leather and blue velvet lined interior, the lift out tray revealing a further storage area beneath. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer also lined in blue velvet.

A concealed button within the lid releases the velvet lining to reveal a stationery pouch with makers label within.

With fully working S Mordan & Co Bramah style lock and key.
