Antique walnut jewellery box by Briggs of Picadilly.

A fine burr walnut Victorian jewellery box by Briggs of Piccadilly, London. THe whole banded in brass with complimentary brass stringing, the top with engraved central cartouche and the sides with flush fitting carry handles.

The box opens to reveal a black Moroccan leather and purple velvet lined interior, the lift-out tray fitted with compartments of varying size reveals a further storage area beneath. There is a further storage area to the back of the box.

To the back of the box the brass button releases the drawer to the front of the box, also lined in leather and silk velvet and bearing brass makers label.

With fully working Bramah lock and tassled key.
