Antique artist's box by J.Newmans

A fine Victorian fiddle back mahogany and ebony banded artist's box by J. Newmans.

The interior fitted with 18 Windsor & Newton watercolour blocks in a lift out tray which reveals a storage area with further oil paints. With two original glass water bowls in excellent condition, a Windsor & Newton palette tray and brush section. The ceramic palette tray lifts out to reveal a secret compartment beneath. 

The lower drawer with flush fitting brass handle opens to reveal another Windsor & Newton ceramic palette. The drawer locks with a brass pin.
